A Refreshing Journey: Celebrating World Environment Day at Marlish Water

World Environment Day is a significant occasion that calls for global action to protect and preserve our planet.

On Monday 5 June 2023, three of our sales managers, Tim Crow, Maxine Whitfield, and Stewart Jack, embarked on an inspiring adventure to Marlish Water.

As a new supplier to us, Marlish Water is known for its locally bottled, high-quality waters in Northumberland.

Tim, Maxine, and Stewart arrived at Marlish Water’s picturesque location and were welcomed as part of a group with tea, coffee and pastries upon arrival. They were given a brief history of the farm and how the Marlish brand was established and has evolved.

They were invited to sample the enticing range of flavoured waters before delving into the art of tonic mixes and discovering the perfect pairings with different gins.

One of the highlights of the visit was a tour of the well that provides the foundation for Marlish Water’s exceptional quality. The sales managers learned about the careful filtration and purification methods employed to maintain the water’s purity. Witnessing firsthand the commitment to preserving this vital resource, they gained a deeper appreciation for Marlish’s unwavering dedication to quality and sustainability.

The group continued their journey through the farm, visiting the warehouse, canning plant, and packaging facilities. The sales managers were impressed by the brand’s adherence to rigorous quality standards and their seamless integration of eco-friendly packaging materials.

The day was not just about exploration and education; it was also an opportunity to actively contribute to the farm’s environmental initiatives. Tim, Maxine, and Stewart joined other visitors in planting corn on the cob and trees, symbolising their commitment to fostering sustainable practices. Additionally, they sowed wildflower seeds, encouraging biodiversity and creating a haven for local wildlife.

The sales managers’ visit to Marlish Water on World Environment Day left them inspired and invigorated. Witnessing the farm’s commitment to sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental preservation deepened their admiration for the Marlish brand.
