Lisa recently took up her post with us after a successful career with the Royal Military Police.

Lisa joined us in December 2022 and she brings a wealth of experience to her role.
Lisa served in the Royal Military Police for over 25 years, during which time she worked in many varied roles which saw her deploy to Afghanistan, Germany, Canada and all over the UK and successfully built-up experience working in logistics, health and safety during her service.
She met her husband whilst at the Military Police Training School and they have been married over 23 years, both of them enjoyed full military careers before leaving and settling in Carlisle.
Shortly before joining us, Lisa joined Gist as a Transport Manager. However, she felt a new challenge was needed.
What does Lisa’s role involve?
Lisa is responsible for implementing, reviewing and maintaining all health and safety procedures, policies, guidelines and assessments across our business.
She liaises with staff, service providers and contractors to ensure maintenance contracts, safety checks and work permits are up-to-date and renewed as appropriate. She regularly carries out alarm and equipment tests to ensure our workplace is running smoothly and safely.
Her work is varied; from working in a butchery to a bar, from a coffee lounge to a warehouse and bakery, two days are never the same!
Keeping up-to-date and self-development
Lisa has certainly been busy over the years. With qualifications in various subjects such as logistics and transport, facilities management, leadership and management, and health and safety, Lisa isn’t one to rest on her laurels.
With an eye to the future, Lisa is still aiming to continue her professional development and would like to gain her NEBOSH diploma and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
