Cumbria Family Business Awards 2018 winners!

We attended the Cumbria Family Business Awards 2018 on Friday 9th March as we were lucky to be shortlisted for the Retailer and Wholesalers category.

Held at The Garden at Eden, the event recognised the hard work, determination and contribution to the economy made by a wide range of family-owned business. Graham and David Jenkins, our managing director and sales director, respectively, attended the awards ceremony.

We were shocked and excited when it was announced we won our category. So you can image our surprise when we also won the ‘Outstanding Cumbria Family Business 2018’ award!

Graham Jenkins said: “David and I were delighted to have won the award for ‘Best Family Business in Retail and Wholesale’.

This was then topped at the end of the night when we collected the top prize for ‘Outstanding Cumbria Family Business 2018’. It’s wonderful to be recognised for our high service levels and what we contribute to the regional economy due to our support for farmers and other producers.

A big thank you goes to the whole team at Pioneer for making this possible.”

We are now through to the national family awards process which takes place later in the year.

We would like to pay recognition to not only our staff but our suppliers, customers and supporters for their hard work and commitment.

We would also like to congratulate the other finalists and winners for this year’s awards.
