We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking chef/cook to head up the kitchen staff in our brand new 1878 Coffee Lounge which opens in March 2019.
The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. He/she will be responsible for assigning work in the kitchen, preparing meals, training staff, carrying out kitchen inventory management and collaborating with the kitchen team to come up with delicious new dishes to add to our new menu.

Following the budget set by the department head
Ensuring that all staff adhere to the company’s health and safety policy and food safety procedures at all times.
Managing kitchen staff and the delegation of tasks related to meal preparation, cooking and Grab and Go.
Monitoring food and labour costs
Keeping up with industry trends and the creation of new recipes in collaboration with the department head.
