Rowing for a cause: raising funds for Carlisle Youth Zone

We believe in giving back—and when it’s for a great local cause like Carlisle Youth Zone, our team goes the extra mile. Or, in this case, 33 of them!

Recently, our incredible staff took on the ambitious challenge of rowing the equivalent distance from our headquarters in Carlisle to our Harrington depot—an impressive 33 miles. Using a rowing machine set up in our foodstore, team members took turns powering through the distance, giving their all for a great cause. The children had to identify each product, explain what it was, and place it on the UK or world maps he provided. They loved the activity, especially discovering the different fruits and vegetables.
