Sausage sales raise an appealing amount!

During March, we held a special promotion on one of our favourite recipe sausages to help raise funds for Hospice at Home, Carlisle & North Lakeland. We raised a grand total of £475 to help this worthy cause.

For every kilo of our special Pork & Marmalade Sausage sold, we vowed to donate £1 to the Carlisle-based charity. The sausages are a popular choice for our customers! They are made to our own Cumberland sausage recipe and laced with quality marmalade from Claire’s Handmade.

The initiative tied in with the World’s Original Dalemain Marmalade Awards which were held during March. The festival raises funds every […]

Colour Run 2019 sponsors

We are proud to announce, for the third year, we are sponsoring Eden Valley Hospice’s annual Colour Run!

Each year the Carlisle-based hospice organises the fun run at Carlisle Racecourse to help raise vital funds to maintain it’s services. The run takes place on Sunday 12th May this year.

The Colour Run is a 5km event which sees participants run, jog, walk or even toddle through a sea of paint and bubbles. This is a family fun event and we’ll be entering a team of runners to help raise money too. Last year our team raised just under £600 which is a marvellous total!

Our marketing manager, Karen Graham, attended and represented us by showcasing a stand showing a huge array of local produce from suppliers that we work closely alongside. From Claire’s Handmade jams and chutneys, ales from Carlisle Brewing and Brack n Brew to gin from the Lakes Distillery, our stand attracted a lot of attention.

Celebrating #CumbriaDay

On Wednesday 23rd January, Cumbrian MPs put aside their political differences to celebrate the best the county has to offer. The six MPs invited representatives from some top Cumbrian businesses and we were excited to be joining them!

Graham and David Jenkins set up stand in the Jubilee Room at Westminster to talk to MPs from across the political spectrum. They spoke passionately about our business, giving great insight into our history, ethos and future growth plans, all the while enticing everyone to try our award-winning Cumberland sausage and pork & apple lattice pies. As you can see from the images below, John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons […]
