The Tempest Arms in Elslack near Skipton was crowned national Food Pub of the Year in the Great British Pub Awards 2009. The establishment, which is run by Martin and Veronica Clarkson, saw off competitors from across the country to secure top prize at the awards ceremony at London’s Hilton Hotel.

The judges said “The food at The Tempest Arms is everything that is great about traditional pub fare – high quality, good value dishes presented in a relaxed and informal environment.

Pioneer would like to congratulate Martin and Veronica on their achievement, who we have supplied with fresh meats, frozen foods and groceries for a number of years.
