On Friday 17th March we picked up a fantastic accolade at the North East and Scotland Awards for Excellence … we won Individual Supplier of the Year 2017 at the awards ceremony held by the Lead Association for Catering in Education (LACA).

The event was held at Hardwick Hall, Co Durham and our sales and key accounts manager, Brian Baxter went along to collect the prize.

We were nominated by Northumberland County Council who have been impressed by our hard work and excellent service to their schools. Caterforce board members take a tour

We warmly welcomed the board members of Caterforce to our head office in Carlisle on Monday 13th March.

They were attending a board meeting and were given a VIP tour of our office, factory, warehouse and shop. The board consists of directors from other foodservice companies from across the country such as KFF based in Kent, Lynas Foodservice in Northern Ireland and Hunt’s in Dorset.

Introducing Gemma …

We’re very proud to introduce you to Gemma Hodgson who is our new Area Sales Manager covering the Carlisle area.

Although, new to the team, Gemma is an ‘old hand’ at helping our customers receive first-class service as she’s worked for the company for ten years now. Until recently, Gemma was part of our busy telesales team and has recently been promoted to join the rest of our area sales managers, visiting our customers and ensuring that we provide an excellent service.

On Monday 6th March 2017, Hannah-Jayne Gawthorpe from Trading Standards visited us to hand over a certificate which formalises a working partnership between us.

The Primary Authority Partnership certificate assures policy expertise and practical experience are brought together and regulations are effectively delivered.

Trading Standards ensure that our hygiene practices and meat are of the highest standard and we comply with all legal requirements regarding weights, labelling, traceability and much more.

We would like to congratulate The Sun Inn at Bassenthwaite. The golden ticket event was held at our recent food show and the lucky winner scooped a fantastic prize of £1,000!

Area Sales Manager, James Daniels, went along to The Sun Inn to congratulate owner,  Lisa Seabourne. A very happy and stunned Lisa said: “I was on holiday when James texted me. I couldn’t believe it – I never win anything! It was a lovely surprise.”
